DME Main Uses

DME is a clean fuel that never generates sulfur oxide and particulate when burned and can reduce environmental adverse effects.
DME is a clean energy medium which can be mass produced from natural gas, coal bed methane, the synthetic gas produced by coal gasification and so on.
Therefore, DME can be used as a fuel for thermal power generation.

DME can be used as fuel for diesel engines as the cetane rating is high, being 55-60.

DME can also be used as an alternative fuel to LPG, because of the properties and of the toxicity to the human body is low and safety is high.

In addition, consumption is expected as fuel for fuel cells as it is favorable on the heat balance and the reaction heat of DME reforming is low.
